Based upon an extensive stocktaking of UNDP’s experience in crisis affected contexts, Gthis publication provides insights on new approaches to governance promotion, analysis and programming adapted to today's challenges of fragility. The paper highlights four core objectives that should influence and shape governance support strategies in the coming years; including fostering resilient societies by mobilising local capacities to adapt and cope with stress and crisis; and promoting inclusive political processes and facilitating state-society dialogue through institutions of political governance.
