The 2023 Annual Report of the Joint Programme illustrates how investing in conflict prevention can contribute to securing enduring peace and development. It showcases the work of the cadre of 133 Peace and Development Advisors (PDAs) supporting national stakeholders in developing and strengthening their own strategies and initiatives to sustain Peace and ensuring more impactful and cohesive UN system engagement on prevention and peacebuilding. As the Joint Programme embarks on a new phase (2024-2028), this report reflects on the achievements and learnings from the past year and the previous phase (2018-2023).
